Gunnison, Mother's Day and Birthdays

I can't believe summer is almost here.  We are 3 months away from our second little baby boys arrival.  It's weird to admit this but it actually has gone by kind of fast but the long crappy part is just beginning where you are big and it's hot and everyone is doing fun summer things that I won't be able to do.  I have a bunch of pictures from the last couple weeks and notice that I'm not really in any of them.  I do not feel like being in pictures when I'm pregnant.  I haven't even taken a single belly picture this time yet and I am 26 weeks! I will take one soon, I really need a comparison shot to prove that I am double the size this time.

Anyways, Kaiden is getting big and just as cute as ever.  He is 20 months old and is becoming more of a helper which is nice.  He is getting better every day at talking.  He says a ton of words and can basically say a word to express what he wants or needs most of the time.  He loves animals and will make every animal noise and he really loves tractors and airplanes.  Soon he is going to be chatting away.

Kaiden demonstrating how he is a helper now by helping Spencer mow the lawn.

We went down to Gunnison to visit my great grandma who is almost 95 years old and still living on her own and doing pretty good for her age.  That makes her Kaiden's great great grandma! Crazy!!Sad side note, on the way home, Kaiden was being really fussy and nothing would calm him down.  We were 5 minutes away from home and he threw up all over in the car.  We were in my parents Yukon and me and Spencer had just switched seats 20 minutes before so thank goodness that he was the one there catching Kaiden's throw up in a diaper.  Jen was hyperventilating in back, my mom was frantically looking for a baggie for her and we had to open the windows, let's just say it was a very chaotic few minutes.  I was so sad for Kaiden but we got home and threw him in the tub and he was fine.  I don't know if it was car sickness or what but it was not fun.

Shooting hoops in Gunnison, we had to entertain Kaiden somehow

Kaiden's favorite thing to do, throw rocks!

Mother's day was pretty good.  Kaiden still doesn't understand it but Spencer got me a card and we had a yummy dinner outside at my mom's house.  The weather was perfect and it was a good day.

Look at that cute face :)

We couldn't get Kaiden to take a good picture with me on Mother's Day! And the wind didn't help either, oh well.

This is Kaiden's way of saying happy mother's day! Haha, he discovered the inside of his nose.

I was laughing so hard and he was laughing so hard so he thought, why not try both!

We have been having a lot of lunch (which is really dinner) breaks with Spencer at work outside now that it's warmer and this picture is Kaiden trying to pop bubbles.

I just turned 26 and Spencer just turned 27! Wow, we are getting old and are on the upswing towards 30, scary!  Most of my family was out of town so my grandma invited us over and made us dinner!  She is so sweet to us.  Kaiden decided to give us a present of being extremely fussy and he wouldn't be happy and calm down til Spencer took him outside and played with him.  I got a bunch of cute pictures of them outside that day.

What Kaiden is obsessed with doing right now, buckling up straps on anything!! Stroller, high chair, swing, you name it and he will do it for hours.

And Kaiden discovered he loves corn on the cob while up the canyon for my birthday dinner :)

Spring Fun

Kaiden and I have been having a lot of fun being outdoors this Spring. With the warm weather we have been able to do a lot outside.  It even got really warm and into the 80's so I let Kaiden run through the sprinklers one day.  He didn't really get how to do it but Sharissa tried to show him.  He starts swimming lessons next week so we are trying to teach him young to like the water.

Always playing in the sandbox at Grandma's house.  He got huge scratch on his face being a climbing monkey and this picture is actually a few days after so it looks pretty good here.

 Fun in the swing!

Easter and Another BOY!!!

We had a great Easter. The weather was perfect and Kaiden was spoiled.  I didn't get any decent pictures for the day and the one of all three of us was so horrible I couldn't even post it.  Anyways, Kaiden was a cutie of course.  We all slept in past 9 then we had church and by the time we got home, Kaiden was so tired he took his nap and when he woke up we were finally able to have him to a little easter egg hunt at our house.  The day went by so fast that we didn't even have time to dye eggs this year so I guess I will just save it for next year. Then we headed over to my parents house with all the family and had yummy dinner and more egg hunting.  Kaiden loved it and had fun putting eggs in his basket.  We had way too much candy that day.

Going through even more goods...seriously spoiled! He is going to have a big reality check when little brother comes.

Yes, baby #2 is another BOY!!! We are so excited and Kaiden would be too if he understood!  It works out perfect because I don't need to buy anything now except another crib once the baby is a couple months old.  They will be almost exactly 2 years apart and in a couple years, they will be able to play together and Kaiden will have a playmate.  I'm happy for another boy but I definitely want a girl too someday.  The next one will have to be a girl but the next one is going to be a long, long time away this time.  To reveal the gender I made a layered cake and put blue frosting in between the 2 cakes and we invited all our families over to cut the cake and see what it was.  We had everyone vote boy or girl before we cut it too and the majority was saying girl, something like 10-6 for girl.  It was fun and I'm just glad that we know what we are having now and glad that I can save some money too ;)  I'm 21 weeks right now so just past half way!!  I'm feeling really good and have even started running again.  This pregnancy has been much better than the first and I am so grateful for that because Kaiden is still a very busy little boy that I am constantly chasing around.

Here's the proof that this little guy is actually a guy.....

Spring Fun and Sunny St. George

I love the warm weather!! And Kaiden probably loves it even more.  He loves being outside more than anything.  We got him some shades so he could be cool like his dad haha.

Every time we are at grandmas he wants to go outside and play in the sandbox.

Spencer borrowed a friends baby carrier that attaches to a bike and he took him for a ride on a warm saturday and then we had a picnic at the park.  Kaiden was so cute and loved the ducks.

We went to St. George with my family for Conference weekend and stayed at a really nice house and had a ton of fun.  Spencer was able to go golfing Friday when we got down there and then Saturday morning we went for a run for my first time in a couple months and I surprised myself.  It wasn't so bad or hard as I thought it would be.  I was definitely slow but ran almost 4 miles.  I let Jen and Spencer run ahead of me after a while then turned around and let them catch up to me.  My legs were so sore the next day though but I want to keep running with this baby along for the ride.  In between sessions we went swimming at my grandmas pool and Kaiden was starting to warm up to it.  He gradually got braver to were he was finally jumping off the edge into the water and we would let him go a little bit under.  I'm thinking about doing swimming lessons for him, it's going to be a fun swimming summer.

While the boys went to priesthood, all the girls and little kids hung out and Kaiden and Lincoln had fun playing outside.  I'm not kidding you, Kaiden would live outside if he could no matter what the temperature is like.  Sunday we woke up to pouring rain and it was a lot cooler but conference was great as always and then we drove home.  It was a great trip and the warmth felt amazing.

Jackson Hole

Kaiden is such a funny, cute kid. I have some random pictures of some of the stuff we have been up to before we get to the Jackson Hole stuff.

For whatever reason, Kaiden thought it was funny to put two pacifiers in his mouth.

Kaiden is such a stylish dude, haha.

I had to take a picture of Kaiden on the day he turned 18 months, March 13th.  I told him to say cheese and this was the face he pulled (I know it's a blurry picture, didn't have time to focus).

If you don't know by now, Kaiden is obsessed with basketball and being outside.  This day was the best of both worlds.

Look at that follow through! Mini Jimmer....

I love this shot of Kaiden and Daddy playing basketball together.

On to our little Jackson Hole, Wyoming trip.  (Also known as just Jackson but nobody can explain to me yet why maps and addresses say just Jackson but everyone calls it Jackson Hole??? Hum....)  Anyways, we went on a quick trip to visit Jen and Chris while they are up there for a couple months running an H&R Block office for the tax season.  We went on a perfect weekend (apparently 40's is warm there).  We left Saturday morning and then drove back home Monday morning so it really was a quick trip.  Kaiden did pretty good on the long car rides.  When he would get antsy we would start singing songs to him to distract him.  We did not realize how much snow they really have up there and how pretty it is.  We wished we could have stayed longer and I didn't even take a picture of all of us together (sorry Jen and Chris).

Antlers everywhere.

Isn't he so cute?!

Our little family under just 1 of the 4 antler arches at the town square.  It is such a cute little town.

Kaiden pretty much loved the snow, he was wondering where the heck all our snow was this winter.

This used to be a huge 9 foot tall ice sculpture in the town square.

We were just strolling around the shops and happened to come upon this lovely treasure in a shop window, only $35 with a tail!!! Are you kidding me? That's a steal.

Hey we got a picture of Chris! Haha, the boys being silly.

The wild goats at the elk refuge, they like to lick the salt off of the cars so they come right up to the windows.

This one was so close that I got worried that if he needed to go, it would come in the window.  Spencer poked him in the butt and he took off.

Just one group of wild elk that come live here in the winter.  There are thousands and thousands of them.

Me and Spencer with the Grand Tetons behind us.

We took Kaiden to play in the snow right behind Jen's house and it literally was 3-4 feet deep in some spots.  He loved it.

Aren't they so cute?! Love them.

Happy boy.
Spencer and Kaiden in a really deep spot where they fell into some deep holes.  I had to go help them out, haha.

We had a great trip and now we want to go back in the summer to see how pretty it will be.  Now if it can only fast forward a couple weeks so I can be in warm, sunny St. George!

If you want some pregnancy news I guess I can fill you in.  I haven't even taken any belly pictures yet but don't worry, it definitely is there and bigger than last time already.  I am 17 weeks so only a few more weeks and we can hopefully find out if it will be boy or girl! I am feeling good just pretty tired and hungry a lot.  I have to eat every few hours, it is so annoying.  Especially because I don't want to eat and nothing sounds good but I know that if I don't eat I will puke.  I guess that's why women gain so much weight when they are pregnant, I hope I don't look like a whale by the end of this.
